An independent Orthopaedic Evaluation is a comprehensive medical assessment by an expert musculoskeletal evaluator culminating in a report that summarizes the claimant’s subjective complaints, and the orthopaedic surgeon’s objective findings in relation to any musculoskeletal injuries and accident related impairments that may result. The orthopaedic surgeon spends considerable time reviewing the medical brief, and interviewing and examining the claimant to determine if there are valid indicators of musculoskeletal impairment and/or any pre-existing medical conditions that could affect recovery from injuries sustained specifically in the incident in question.
