Paper/File Reviews

A Medical File Review is a paper-based review that examines the medical care provided, the level of care required, as well as the relationship between the illness or injury and the need for care. Such a review is made based on the claimant’s medical history, documented limitations and the findings of any assessments completed and on file to date. It is conducted by a physician with the appropriate specialty and training who examines a previous diagnostic report, and is an economical method of determining if a claimant’s condition is properly diagnosed. Our medical and health professionals prepare a detailed medical file review report outlining their findings while providing responses to questions posed by the adjuster. Ultimately, such a review contributes to the fair and equitable resolution of a claim in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
