A Labour Market Survey (LMS) is used to identify availability of jobs in a specific geographic region. Such occupations are often those identified as suitable employment options originating from a Vocational Assessment and a Transferable Skills Analysis. An LMS consists of a formal report produced by a Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) who conducts extensive research and surveys the present labour market. The CVE focuses on particular field(s) of work appropriate for the claimant, and produces a selection of potential employment opportunities that are reasonable and attainable for the claimant while documenting the research undertaken to arrive at the suggested job selections.
